Story Planter

“We simply want to create things people won’t get rid of,” says Chen-Yen Wei of the objects that she designs with her husband and partner, Hung-Ming Chen. In creating the Story Planter (2020), the pair brought a new twist to floral arrangements by accommodating plants and flowers in a vertical stack within a very compact footprint. “It was not an easy task, though it appears really simple,” says Hung-Ming of the design. “We hope people see it as a quiet, functional sculpture.” All-metal construction and a heavy weighted base provide strength and stability. Bowls can be set facing forward or to the side; they do not have drainage holes. Indoor use only. Made in Taiwan.
